Providence: The name of our church has a two-fold history to it. First, God's Providence refers to God's involvement and control of every event in our lives, from the smallest to the greatest. That is comforting! "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose"-Romans 8:28 (ESV) Second, it is the city where the first Baptist church in the United States was founded:Providence, Rhode Island. At our church we hold to the Foundational Truths of the Christian Faith. We are a contemporary yet confessional Southern Baptist congregation. We hold to the Revised Baptist Faith and Message of 2000.
